This site has beautiful, parkland views to the south side and rear which dictated the design to a certain extent.

The orientation could have posed a problem in that our brief was to design a spacious two-bedroom home, with an apartment feel which was light, bright and airy.

Fortunately, we were able to overcome the obstacle of a dark south side by use of clever design practices, which utilised an abundance of hi-light operable windows, glass hi-lite panels in lieu of brickwork; and soaring ceilings.

The home is split level, and upon entering and walking towards the main living area, your eyes are immediately taken to a high glass panel with a canopy of trees beyond.

A columnless stacker door leads from the kitchen/living area to an alfresco area with an outdoor kitchen, effectively bringing the outside in and vice versa.

A spacious theatre complete with all the latest gadgetry – and a bar – also connects to the alfresco area.

The chef’s kitchen is complimented by a large, separate scullery and coffee station – all containing European appliances.

“Spectacular” sums this beautiful home up nicely!
